This newly formed combo consists of seven members: Nicolas on trombone, Antoine on trumpet, Fabrice on guitar, Romuald on drums, Christina on cello, Gabrielle on vocals, and Jérôme, who is a songwriter, composer, performer, and guitarist. Much of the writing and composition revolves around Jérôme: “he writes lyrics and a guitar base, and the others align with him; that’s how we do things,” says Gabrielle.
Six songs are already perfected, with titles such as “Le coquelicot”, “Nissa la bella” (which is not a cover of the song you know), “Mon histoire” and others. Two more are about to be played for the first time at the next concert.
The dual vocals, in French, set against an acoustic guitar background, remind one of the Tit’ Nassels, an excellent band from Roanne. The songwriting remains simple with all lyrics rhythmically rhyming. The cello’s contribution is crucial and central, adding a touch of melancholy and an indispensable beauty reminiscent of the style and elegance of the Parisian band La Blanche. The brass section, reminiscent of the elder band Les Têtes Raides, effectively completes the ensemble.
