The 2022 Winter Olympics concluded on February 20 in Beijing. France finished in tenth place in terms of medals won. It aimed for a score of 15 podiums and ultimately obtained 14, including 5 golds.


Gold Medals:

French biathlete Quentin Fillon-Maillet was the first to win a gold medal. He obtained it on February 8 in the individual sprint event (20 km).

Quentin Fillon-Maillet won his second gold medal in the pursuit event on February 13.

The last Olympic title was won by Justine Braisaz-Bouchet on February 18 in the mass start event. This is the only individual female French medal at these Winter Olympics.

Silver Medals:

Anaïs Chevalier-Bouchet, Émilien Jacquelin, Quentin Fillon Maillet, and Julia Simon finished in second place in the mixed biathlon on February 5.

Forty-year-old Johan Clarey finished second in the alpine skiing downhill event held on February 7. By winning this medal, he became the oldest athlete in the history of this sport.

The Niçois Mathieu Faivre won his first Olympic medal in alpine skiing on February 13.

The same day, it was the turn of the cross-country skiing relay team composed of Richard Jouve, Hugo Lapalus, Clément Parisse, Maurice Manificat to finish on the last step of the podium. This marked the third consecutive Winter Olympic bronze for this event.
