The members of the TATOUFAUX* team areโneither more nor less than othersโvictims of preconceived ideas, but they are healing themselves by applying Occam’s razor to numerous beliefs.
โฆAnd their “therapeutic” activity has just materialized through the publication of the excellent booklet “The Tomb of Preconceived Ideas.”
Patrick Cazaux, Corinne Challand, Michaรซl Corcolle, Patrick Desche-Zizine, Franรงois Grandemange, Joรซl Lebras, Bruno Mancini, Philippe Roux, take on many preconceived notions, simple opinions often based on a mistaken perception of things or sustained ignorance…
“We all have preconceived ideas inherited from our family, educational, or social environment, which we do not question with critical rational thinking. These preconceived ideas, repeated or transmitted sometimes for several generations, are ‘illusions of knowledge.’ They are merely simple opinions, not based on facts and relying on a mistaken perception of things, on blind trust in what we are told, or on sustained ignorance…
Such illusions of knowledge can guide the actions of an individual or a society. Opinions or ideas widely spread in the public become traditions or prejudices that are often difficult to uproot with rational thinking, study, verification, or reflection,” they say.
But preconceived ideas are not necessarily unchangeable.
The Tatoufaux team is not a panel of experts. Specialists in nothing but curious about everything, they express themselves in this book not on behalf of their diplomas, professions, or titles, since arguments of authority, along with those appealing to seniority, testimony, or reputation, are abhorrent to them.
This work tackles the tip of an iceberg that we still need to melt, and in this area, the warming (neural) is neither to be feared nor stemmed.
On the contrary! There is every reason to believe it is beneficial…

University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis Faculty of Sciences.
The Zรฉtรฉtique Laboratory was created at the Faculty of Sciences of Nice by Professor Henri BROCH (physicist, Doctor of Science, researcher in biophysics) in June 1998 thanks to the financial support of Jacques THEODOR, a Belgian scientific colleague. This laboratory is a unique center in France for research and information on so-called “paranormal” or “out-of-the-ordinary” phenomena. This open structure (โฆ from Primary to University!) is focused on disseminating scientific methodology, promoting Zรฉtรฉtique and scientific culture through the analysis of this particular type of phenomena, from any field, analysis conducted parallel to the prophylaxis of pseudo-sciences.
