The Teddy Bear Hospital is a community event that took place this Tuesday, January 17, at the Centre AnimaNice Django Reinhardt. The goal of this initiative is to raise awareness among children so that they are no longer afraid of the hospital.
This event aims to familiarize children with the hospital environment, which can often be a significant source of fear for them. The day offers numerous activities spread across nine stands. Children had the opportunity to discover certain medical practices by treating their stuffed animals. Participating in a full consultation, welcoming at the pharmacy, taking X-rays to see the anatomy of teddy bears simulating patients; these varied activities allow children to become budding doctors for a day.
Pierre Fiori, Deputy Mayor in charge of municipal buildings, sub-delegate for school works, citizenship at school, and AnimaNice, was present during this day and took the opportunity to congratulate the medical students who were greatly involved in this event.
It is worth noting that the student solidarity association Humanice organizes this community action. Humanice is an association bringing together diverse students to carry out various community-oriented actions, particularly awareness-raising events. Initially created by medical students, it later opened up to students from the Health Department, and then to all students in Nice.
