Attention all movie enthusiasts on the French Riviera!
From January 18 to January 24, the Télérama Festival, organized by Télérama magazine in partnership with the AFCAE (French Association of Art and Test Cinema), will be featured in the Jean Vigo hall at Espace Magnan.
A selection of seven “Art et Essai” films curated by the critics of Télérama:
– A history of violence – by David Cronenberg
– Caché – by Michael Haneke
– Le temps qui reste – by François Ozon
– Million dollar baby – by Clint Eastwood
– Mysterious skin – by Gregg Araki (not allowed for those under 16)
– The president’s last bang (Gu tte gu sa ram dul) – by Im Song-Soo
– The taste of tea (Cha no aji) – by Ishii Katsuhito
A unique feature of this festival is that the Cinema Mission of Espace Magnan will host debate sessions and meetings at 8:30 PM on:
– Saturday, January 21, 2006: Screening and discussion of A history of violence by David Cronenberg
Meeting with Kaloust Andalian and Marianne Boussard
– Monday, January 23, 2006: Screening and discussion of Million dollar baby by Clint Eastwood
Meeting with Cyril Laverger
– Tuesday, January 24, 2006: Screening and discussion of The president’s last bang by Im Sang-Soo
Meeting with Philippe Serve
This is a last chance to see or revisit the most popular films of the cinematic year on the big screen. And I believe the ticket price is just 3 euros! So, since the weather these days does not allow for outdoor outings, go warm up in the Jean Vigo hall! Enjoy the movie!
