The ten-year anniversary of the Ariane Social Center honored

Latest News

For its tenth anniversary, Christian Estrosi came to inaugurate this living space, which has been honored many times both in the region and outside.

For three days, “The Village” will be celebrating with the residents, associations, institutions, elected officials, and partners, featuring festive moments (show and shared meal) and times of reflection on the impact of the Social Center, the journey of its members, partnerships, and social innovation.

Christian Estrosi kicked off these three days of festivities yesterday. On this occasion, he awarded the bronze medal for youth, sports, and community involvement to three social center staff members and an association leader in the field of Taekwondo in the Nice East area.

Inaugurated in September 2008 in the heart of the Ariane district, the “Le Village” Social Center, one of the first achievements of the Urban Renewal Project, has become a driving force in this priority neighborhood over ten years. A true local venue, a space for exchanges and initiatives, based on the participation of the Ariane residents who have invested in it, this social center is approved by the Family Allowance Fund of the Alpes-Maritimes and managed by the Nice CCAS. It aims to empower neighborhood residents and addresses five priority areas: parenting, support for women, youth, intergenerational activities, and citizenship.

This social center has brought together a vibrant community around its 8 staff members and 18 volunteers: 1,540 members, 58,667 participations in 6,561 workshops of all kinds, and 12,329 visits and information queries at the center.
