The third edition of the Cinéroman festival is open!

Last night, Wednesday, October 20, the opening ceremony of the third edition of the Cinéroman Festival took place at the Pathé Gare du Sud. This festival, dedicated to cinematic adaptations of literary works, was highly anticipated after being canceled in 2020.

With a big smile, Nicolas Bedos, the jury president this year, opened the ceremony just before the premiere of Yvan Attal‘s latest film, Les choses humaines. Returning to Nice after four months of filming for his next movie Mascarade, the actor began his speech with a tribute to Nissa la Bella, “this city that we love so much. This sort of Los Angeles with a Neapolitan twist, which, like all good films, cultivates paradoxes”.

He was then joined by (almost) all the jury members — Benjamin Lavernhe, Lou de Laâge, Danièle Thompson, and Agnès Jaoui. Emmanuelle Devos and David Foenkinos were not present.

After the screening of Les choses humaines, adapted from the novel of the same name by Karine Tuil, Yvan Attal was present, accompanied by two of his actors — Suzanne Jouannet and Benjamin Lavernhe. They were warmly applauded and then participated in a Q&A session with the audience.
