This great day of solidarity, which calls for donations and the generosity of participants, is organized at the initiative of the famous Toques Brulées and Harley du Coeur, this Sunday, June 14th, in the gardens of the Cimiez arenas.
The idea is to trade a new toy brought by the participants for a four-star picnic, imagined and prepared by David Faure, chef of the restaurant Aphrodite, and Gilles Ballestra, chef of the restaurant Luna Rossa. The masters of taste put all their expertise and generosity into these original creations, with Mediterranean accents, to be savored on a platter, in the grass!
Indeed, after the Niçois hot dog last year, the two great chefs, never short of ideas, have developed the Niçois burger this year, but the secrets of its creation will be revealed, just like the mystery surrounding the appetizer and dessert! But with such perfectionists of taste at the helm, it is certain that our tastebud enchanters will once again delight us!
This large charity operation is conducted for the benefit of sick children, and the distribution of toys will take place in the following weeks, in the pediatric departments of the hospitals in Nice.
Throughout the day, in addition to the picnic in the gardens of Cimiez, there will be plenty of activities for young and old alike, and crepes for a snack! Children will be able to participate in face painting and drawing workshops, have fun on the inflatable structure available for them, enjoy with Clown Michel, who will take them on a journey through his wonderful stories and tales, learn country dancing with the Trinité Country association, and Zumba with their parents, get photographed on legendary motorcycles, and even take a few rides, and above all, enjoy this beautiful family day in the enchanting site of the gardens of Cimiez.
“During the first edition of this event, about 350 new toys were collected, and then distributed to sick children during a big festive snack organized in the corridors of the pediatric departments of the l’Archet hospital in Nice,” comments Claude Abejan, President of Harley du Coeur, and continues: “This year, always with our accomplices and friends Les Toques Brûlées, we fully intend to exceed this number and do even better, of course!”
It’s said! So bring your toys! They must be of good quality, new, and never used as a condition for being distributed in the hospitals. Les Toques Brûlées and Harley du Coeur invite you this Sunday to the gardens of Cimiez for this great family fun day, bring a new toy, and they will take care of the picnic!
