80%: This is the average occupancy rate of hotels and residences in July (equivalent to July 2017). The trend is better in urban centers, where the hotel occupancy rate approached 84%, with a 13% increase in revenue.
August, as every year, marked the peak of summer attendance, with nearly 700,000 tourists present on the Côte d’Azur during the weekend of August 15.
“The Côte d’Azur is once again a reliable choice for the vast majority of summer tourists worldwide. It seems that we have been able to reassure our most sensitive clientele regarding ‘safety’ and that our core markets, with high added value, can still experience double-digit growth. This success in attendance must also be attributed to the efforts made by municipalities, particularly in terms of their event and cultural policies,” stated David Lisnard, President of the Regional Tourism Committee (CRT) CÔTE d’AZUR FRANCE.
