More than a hundred people from Nice participated in this annual and traditional event that marks the approach of the Christmas holidays.
It was on the Ruhl beach that the brave people from the Cรดte d’Azur dared to face the sea during this season.
Fortunately, the weather was favorable this Sunday, December 19th, on the French Riviera. Indeed, despite the early hour (11 am), the sun was shining, and there was no wind, so the event’s participants didn’t have too much trouble getting into the water at 15.8 degrees Celsius.
This tradition was born 75 years ago, at the Liberation. It was the Sports and Gymnastics Union of Labour that launched the very first edition of the Christmas swim to promote leisure sports in Nice and the winter good living of the Cรดte d’Azur.
If the experience tempts you, see you in 2022, on January 1st, for the next swim.
