“Discovering the landscapes of the department” could be the slogan of this initiative, which is both a sports competition and a friendly and fun event.
“The 2013 edition includes 10 races and a bonus event: the first French Vertical Kilometer Championship in Saint Martin Vésubie.
Three challenges are planned: the discovery challenge (courses from 10 to 20 km), the nature challenge (courses from 20 to 42 km), and the Trail challenge (courses over 42 km).
For the fourth consecutive year, the challenge has been awarded the label “Sustainable Development… sport commits” by the French National Olympic and Sports Committee.
This label attests to the exemplary approach of the General Council and the events in light of the “French sport agenda 21” and the “charter for sustainable development”.
Free activities will also be offered:
family hikes open to all, without ranking,
nature hikes dedicated to discovering nature and raising awareness about ecosystems,
free loan of electric bikes, advice with the health info bus services.
