Yesterday at the National Sport Museum, Charles Ange Ginésy, President of the Alpes-Maritimes Department, presented the 2018 prizes for the Challenge Trail Nature 06.
The Challenge Trail Nature 06 represents an innovative initiative because it raises awareness about respecting nature and natural sites traversed during sports activities. With the success of the challenge for more than 10 years, and the organization of major events such as the Ultra-Trail® Côte d’Azur Mercantour, the French championships, and the creation of the first trail station in the Southern Alps.
The award ceremony was followed by the opening of the photo exhibition “Grande Traversée du Mercantour. Grand Défi!” in the presence of ultra-trail runner Stéphane Brogniart, who last September completed the Grande Traversée du Mercantour in 47 hours and 31 minutes of running.
