The tramway for Nice supporters!

Latest News

The tramway line 3 was inaugurated yesterday afternoon by Christian Estrosi, president of the metropolitan area, accompanied by elected officials, including Charles-Ange Ginรฉsy, president of the Departmental Council.

This line will include a 7 km route between the Nice Saint-Isidore district and the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Airport (Terminal 1 and 2). The average travel time is about 30 minutes between the starting point and the terminus.

Its purpose is to connect the major centers of the Eco Valley. On its route, it will notably serve the Allianz Riviera stadium, which was previously difficult to access for supporters living in the city center of Nice.

For this occasion, several players from OGC Nice (Wylan Cyprien, Dante, Malang Sarr, and Pierre Lees-Melou), as well as president Jean-Pierre Rivรจre and coach Patrick Vieira, were present at the foot of the Allianz Riviera from 2 PM to welcome the tramway for its inaugural journey.

Moreover, numerous free activities were organized on the forecourt of the stadium to delight the supporters this Wednesday afternoon. Throughout the day, a large crowd came to celebrate this new development vector in an area experiencing rapid growth, including the medium-term inauguration of an Ikea store. They also enjoyed an autograph session offered by the players present.

Starting today, exceptional arrangements will be made on match evenings to enable quicker and simpler access to the stadium for supporters. This aims to significantly reduce congestion in the stadium area, which is always heavily jammed before Gym matches.
