This morning, the city of Nice was supposed to commemorate the Liberation of Nice and France as well as the 23 men executed in Ariane, at the “place des fusillés” (Square of the Executed). Due to bad weather, the event is postponed to tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock. In the presence of the city’s mayor, Christian Estrosi, as well as other representatives such as Jean Jacques Carlin, vice president of the Nice Côte d’Azur metropolis, the new Cross of Lorraine will be inaugurated. The ceremony was also organized with the help of students from the regional Vauban high school in Nice.
