From May 28 to 31, Nice will welcome hundreds of students from around the world for the 2nd Edition of MUNICE at the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis & the Mediterranean University Center!
The Nice Model United Nations or MUNICE is a four-day United Nations simulation, bringing together hundreds of students from around the world in Nice, under the sun of the French Riviera!
This academic conference aims to introduce participants to the world of diplomacy and the functioning of the United Nations through a highly instructive role-playing game.
Model United Nations are simulations organized around the world at the most prestigious schools and universities. One or more themes related to current events are chosen for each MUN.
Building on the success of the previous edition, more than 8 committees will be simulated during MUNICE 2015, from the UN Security Council to the International Criminal Court. They will cover pressing current topics such as the invasion by the Islamic State or the use of drones! Most of the committees being in English, it will be a unique opportunity for students to improve their language skills!
MUNICE 2015 will be highlighted by prestigious ceremonies, including one at the Mediterranean University Center with the presence of important figures such as Mr. Salvano BRICENO, former Director of Strategy at UNISDR (UN agency fighting against disaster risks), Mr. Lotfi MAKTOUF, Lawyer at the New York Bar, Advisor to the International Monetary Fund, and Banker at Edmond de Rothschild, as well as Mr. Pascal TURLAN, Advisor to the Prosecutor’s Office of the International Criminal Court!
Intense debates, students from all corners of the world, international guest speakers, and lots of sunshine are the ingredients of the 2nd Edition of the Nice Model United Nations, which promises to be exceptional!
