On November 8 and 9, 2007, the Cyber@FMC will be dedicated to new minimally invasive surgical treatments for kidney and prostate cancer. Users will be able to follow a complete operation live with the Da Vinci Surgical Robot, which the CHU has acquired thanks to the synergistic action of the Inca (National Cancer Institute) and the Alpes Maritimes General Council.

Approved by the AFU (French Association of Urology), this Cyber@FMC also allows users to validate their training during the day by answering online multiple-choice questions.

Presided over by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine in Nice, Professor Daniel BENCHIMOL, the day of November 9, 2007, will take place in the presence of the new General Director of the CHU of Nice, Mr. Emmanuel BOUVIER MULLER. Likewise, expected attendees include Professor MATILLON, advisor to the Minister of Health and sponsor of the 2007 class of medical students in Nice.

Combining the most sophisticated techniques of video transmission and live and rich media broadcasting on the internet, these days last year gathered an average of 400 users per day from all over the world (Canada, USA, Japan, West Germany, Israel…).
