This coming Monday, September 30th, senior students will be at the Mediterranean University Center for the 38th start of the Inter-Ages University of Nice (UNIA).
Created in 1975, the UNIA is linked by agreement to the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis. It offers upgrading or updating of knowledge in nearly 55 university subjects through courses and lectures given by university professors or recognized personalities.
UNIA consists of more than 6000 students (primarily seniors) spread over 12 branches from Menton to Draguignan.
In Nice, there are over 2200 enrolled students, 1,150 hours of teaching, 55 university subjects, 65 teachers.
The subjects taught are those of the University: Letters and Literatures, History of Civilizations, Religions, Art, from antiquity to the modern world, Philosophy, Sciences (Mathematics, Physics, Medicine…), plus a summer university in partnership with the city of Nice and a whole range of physical activities, field trips, cultural travels, various workshops, discussion clubs, and walking groups.
