The University of Nice Sophia Antipolis celebrates 25 years of Erasmus.

On Monday, March 5, 2012, at 3 PM at the Thรฉรขtre du Grand Chรขteau de Valrose, the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis will spotlight the Erasmus program for an afternoon filled with a general presentation and thematic roundtables on the subject.

The University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, a major multidisciplinary university with an international focus, has 20% of its students as international students, compared to a national average of around 12%, and sends students from Nice all over the world on mobility programs, more than half of whom participate in ERASMUS exchanges.

It partners with the Erasmus Students’ Network France (ESN), an association of international mobility students, to promote mobility and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the ERASMUS program by organizing several roundtables on this theme.

In the program:

– ESN Nice and its role in the international promotion of student life? Presentation by Romain Mayolini, President and co-founder of ESN Nice.

– What is ERASMUS? Presentation by Florian Chapey, President of ESN France.

– “The city and the university in action for successful student mobility”: a roundtable moderated by Thomas Cรดte, Vice-President for student outreach at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis. Participants: Michel Cassac, Vice-President for international relations at the University, Agnes Rampal, Deputy Mayor of Nice in charge of higher education and student life, and Pierre Barone, President of FACE 06 (Federation of Student Associations and Corporations of the 06).

– “Testimonials from French and foreign students about their ERASMUS experiences”: roundtable moderated by Brikena Xhomaqi, elected to the European Studentsโ€™ Union in charge of student mobility in Europe and an active member of ESN Nice. Participants: Erasmus students.
