The UPE06 list won all the seats available (58).
Bernard Kleinhof will be the next President of the Chamber of Commerce of Nice. The low turnout (12.6% of votes cast… an increase compared to the national average of 10%) highlights the lack of or little interest from the business world in this community institution.
Why this lack of interest?
Yvon Grosso: “I am very happy that we have achieved this grand slam once again. This vote confirms that the UPE 06 is representative of all companies in this department, regardless of their size or activity, and strengthens us in our mission to represent and defend the interests of businesses. The UPE 06 is more than ever the party of business. We are pleased with the success but disheartened by the lack of thought and heart from the business world. We need to refresh the entrepreneurial spirit towards a common interest.”
Bernard Kleinhof: “It wasn’t a foregone conclusion and so I savor this success even more. Now… to work. I want my team to be called ‘Union to Work’. We will need to be more attentive to the requests of the business world, maybe by doing less but certainly to do better.”
To this end, the UPE 06 is adopting a new visual identity and launching a major membership campaign.
To illustrate the wind of change blowing through the UPE 06, the institution has adopted a new visual identity. The tiles of different sizes and colors symbolize the importance of the network woven among companies of all sizes and activities.
The mosaic also represents the symbol of cultural mixing and values cosmopolitanism and openness to the international community.
The local colors: blue of the sky and sea, yellow of the sun, and green of the hills are used with a “flashy” trend, breaking away from the ‘postcard’ aspect sometimes attributed to the region.
The whole gives our institution a truly contemporary image clearly oriented towards the future.
