Born from an initiative by UPE06 two years ago, the FCPR Entrepreneurial Fund 06, the first seed fund in the Alpes-Maritimes, has become a reality today.
In this challenging period and in a region unaccustomed to this type of investment, the project was able to come to life thanks to the financial involvement of about fifteen business leaders from the region, followed by three local banks.
Proximity and anchorage in a territory being success factors in the seed phase, EQUITIS has entrusted the selection of eligible companies for the Fund to the BA06 Accompaniment Association, comprised of experts, entrepreneurs, and experienced local financiers.
The Fund has been approved by the Financial Markets Authority (AMF) since November 23, 2012, which provides additional credibility and the possibility to appeal to public savings.
This Fund has strong support from the local ecosystem, primarily from UPE06 and its president, the Nice Cote d’Azur Metropolis, the Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Pole Azur Provence, and the main players in the innovation chain. Its operating modalities will be explained at the press conference.
