The urban renovation of the Pasteur district

Latest News

A moment of exchanges between residents and the participants in the urban renovation of the Pasteur district. The renovation of the Pasteur district began in 2005. Since that date, numerous developments have been completed.

Today, residents benefit from new or renovated housing and have access to pleasant public facilities: a public garden and redeveloped banks of the Paillon, bike paths; the library and the Leisure and Activity Center as well as a Child Care Center are coming soon.

To help residents better understand the transformations in their neighborhood and share their impressions with all the participants in the urban renovation, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis organizes “Construction Site Cafés.” The “Construction Site Cafés” provide opportunities for visits and informal exchanges in a friendly atmosphere.

The second Construction Site Café will take place this Thursday, January 17, this time in the heart of the Pasteur district, at Place Maccario (the first Construction Site Café was organized in the Moulins district last November). It will be held with the presence of Dominique Estrosi-Sassone, Deputy Delegate for Housing, Urban Renovation, and the fight against discrimination and Metropolitan Councilor, Lauriano Azinheirinha, Deputy for Education and Youth, Metropolitan Councilor and General Councilor, and Fatima Khaldi, Deputy of the “Banks of the Paillon” area, Metropolitan Councilor.

Invited to this event are all those wishing to obtain information on the progress of the project and on upcoming works, on ongoing construction, and on the insertion and community-based actions undertaken by the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis.

The team from the urban renewal directorate, as well as the divisions responsible for ongoing or future public services on the site, will be there to listen and answer their questions.

Residents will especially have the opportunity to visit the new facility that will soon be delivered and which includes the library and the Pasteur Leisure and Activity Center.
