The Government’s announcements are coming at a rapid pace! After the deconfinement schedule, reminiscent of SNCF timetables, it is now the turn of the vaccination schedule that has just been unveiled.
As planned, by May 15, vaccination remains open to all people over 55 years old, without specific conditions. Then, people over 50 years old will also be eligible starting May 15. But here’s the new update: all adults who wish to be vaccinated will be able to do so from June 15 onward.
This announcement adds to the recent communication regarding the opening of vaccination to people suffering from comorbidities, such as obesity, hypertension, diabetes, kidney failure, heart failure, or cancer, starting from May 1.
According to the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, these new criteria should allow for the vaccination of “4 million vulnerable French people.”
