According to the journalist, who rightly questions the impartiality of the evaluation report, doubt seems permissible. Indeed, although the Keneo consultancy firm that worked on the evaluation of the candidacies has no direct link with Grenoble (which was favored by this report), the same cannot be said for the former and new shareholders of this firm such as Etienne Thobois, the founder of the mentioned company who sold his shares on September 15, 2008, to Max Bouchet-Virette, the current principal shareholder of Keneo.
Tomorrow’s inauguration ceremony is likely to not take place in the most serene atmosphere for this French primary, which had started well after the presentation of the files of the four candidate cities on January 21st within the French Olympic house.
So, will it happen, or will it not? The suspense remains whole for the members of the Nice 2018 steering committee who will go to Paris tomorrow firmly convinced that nothing is settled and that, whatever may be said… The games are not (yet) made!!!
