Both a politician, an Academician, committed to universal causes, and a woman of action and reflection, Simone Veil was an exceptional woman who left a mark on the history of France and the city of Nice.
For all these reasons, she will be a model, an example, and a source of inspiration for current and future generations.
To pay tribute to her and in agreement with her family, the Alpes-Maritimes Department has decided to name the Victor Duruy middle school after her.
The inauguration took place in the presence of her sons, Jean Veil and Pierre-François Veil.
On this occasion, the renovation and reconstruction work of the school were presented.
