The Administrative Court of Appeal of Marseille rejected Ms. Al Refai’s claim regarding this building, thereby declaring the villa to be of public utility.
Ms. Al Refai is the former owner who was expropriated by the municipality of Nice with compensation before it was restored due to its deplorable condition.
Villa La Luna will thus continue to host, on a shared-time basis, a House of Associations and activities offered by the Department of Seniors and Animanice. Attendance figures – 39 associations made reservations and over 7,500 people were welcomed in 2018.
