As the director of the Ensemble Baroque de Nice, which he founded in 1982, Gilbert Bezzina developed, within his ensemble, his passion for rediscovering the baroque repertoire, both instrumental (Concerti Grossi by Locatelli, Scarlatti…) and lyrical.
Since 1996, Gilbert Bezzina has also been the artistic director of Vieux-Nice Baroque en Musique, a concert season highlighting the rich baroque heritage of the City of Nice.
