This Saturday, April 30th at 8 PM at the Saint-Martin Saint-Augustin Church, the Association “Friends of LACASSAGNE” will produce, under the label “les Musi’CAL,” the Vocal Ensemble “RESONANCES.” A choir of nine women will be accompanied on piano by Georges-Henri DUCREUX and conducted by Pierre BORD.
The program for this charity concert, with proceeds benefiting the Pediatric Proton Therapy Service being installed by the Antoine LACASSAGNE Center at the Cyclotron site, includes:
Franz SCHUBERT’s Mass in G No. 2,
on piano, Franz SCHUBERT’s Impromptu in A-flat major,
and in the second part, the magnificent Stabat Mater by Giovanni-Battista PERGOLESI.
Based in Drôme, the group is composed of singers who are both choristers and soloists. It rarely performs outside its favorite regions—Drôme, Alpes de Haute-Provence, and Bouches du Rhône—although some of its members go far beyond these areas and have international careers.
This group’s favored repertoire ranges from French melodies to Elizabethan music, including opera and sacred music.
