The UVE in Nice has received and will process the residual waste from the city of Ajaccio in the name of territorial solidarity.
The UVE of Nice, a reference treatment facility that also receives waste from Cannes, Grasse, and Menton, has seen its intake decrease by around 20% due to the decline in economic activity.
This act of solidarity thus presents a dual environmental benefit for the island and the Metropolis. 6,790 tons of waste can be processed by the UVE in Nice over the next 45 days.
