The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, launched by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2016, is taking place this week. The Consulate General of Italy is responsible for organizing this week.
The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World offers more than 1,500 events in 100 countries, with a total budget of approximately 30 million euros funded by the Italian government and numerous sponsors. Its objective, according to the Consulate General of Italy, is to “revive the Italian gastronomic heritage and promote synergies with accrediting countries, especially those that, like France, are also leaders in the sector.”
