The Week of Solidarity: 7 days to shine a light on everyone’s work in the face of instability

Latest News

Since 2014, the Municipal Center for Social Action has been organizing “Solidarity Week” each October, in collaboration with institutional and associative partners who are committed daily to combating exclusion.

This friendly event, sponsored this year by Patrick Zeff-Samet, the artistic director of the Nomades company, aims to showcase the ongoing social work in the city, whether volunteer or professional. It seeks to raise awareness among everyone that solidarity is everyone’s business, to better acquaint people with those experiencing severe hardship, to highlight their potential and thus dispel prejudices, to offer them a true festive moment, to further develop connections between social actors, and to energize the existing network.

The event will begin this Monday at 5 PM at the Galerie des Dominicains with the opening of the exhibition EXPO 13.

EXPO 13 is an exhibition designed to highlight the work of around twenty artists who often have had atypical personal journeys: 4 artists from the Maison du Cœur (CCAS), 6 artists from the Arc-en-ciel workshop, 3 artists from the Gabians family support home (CCAS), 1 artist from the Goutte de Lait family support home (CCAS), 1 artist from the Pénitents Blancs, 2 artists from SAN-SAS, 1 artist from the CHRS (CCAS), and 1 artist from the Social Solidarity Service (CCAS).
