On Monday, February 12, 2024, the “Carnival Imaginaries” Exhibition was held at the West-End Hotel in Nice.
For the 151st edition of the Nice Carnival, the city of Nice decided to highlight Pop Culture. Disting’art and the West-End Hotel are hosting the “Carnival Imaginaries” exhibition. Disting’art is a platform dedicated to local artists from the Alpes-Maritimes, helping them to showcase their work by organizing events.
Available from February 12 to March 31, 2024, this exhibition honors three local artists: Lรฉa Vandeveld, Isabelle de Constantin, and Valรฉrie Cheno. This representation highlights the artistsโ vision of the Nice Carnival. The artworks are available for purchase on the Disting’art website.
The artist Lรฉa Vandeveld creates her pieces using recycled makeup as well as acrylic paint and spray paint. During the evening, she showcased her talent to the public by creating a live painting.
Isabelle de Constantin specializes in collages titled “Weird People Have Something to Say to You,” as well as traditional masks called “The Good Little Devils.”
