Ceremony for New Year Greetings and Awards this Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at 7 PM, Salle Jean Despas, Place des Lices-Saint-Tropez under the esteemed patronage of Mr. Jean-Pierre TUVERI, Mayor of the city of Saint Tropez. Remarks by Alain Koubi, President of CROS Côte d’Azur:
“One should have no regrets for the past, no remorse for the present, and unwavering confidence for the future.”
It is with these few words from Jean Jaurès that I leave 2011, without regrets and with great pride. The year ended with very promising results and the implementation of projects that reflect the values of CROS.
2011 was built under the banner of sharing and support. “Sport, a major issue for France” is a conviction we wanted to share with local economic and institutional actors who share the same belief. Thus, the Rectorate of the Nice Academy, SKEMA Business School, Caisse d’Epargne, UPR, and UNSS joined us to promote this “Sport” as a vehicle for education and well-being.
CROS also supported young people aspiring for a future in sports and animation professions by opening the doors to BPJEPS Collective Sports. This training is supplemented in 2012 by the implementation of a Pre-Qualification in Collective Sports.
Additionally, the very foundations of sport as a catalyst for social cohesion were honored throughout the year by our integration, reintegration, and accessibility actions in sports for all. The great success of the sharing games, the co-organization of the PACA Corse tour, and our now essential actions within the prison environment reflect our commitment to everyone.
However, none of this could have been developed without the presence of many dedicated volunteers who managed to keep the Olympic Flame of sports passion alive within them, burning every day thanks to them, in all the sporting complexes of the Côte d’Azur. On the occasion of this New Year greetings evening, CROS Côte d’Azur wishes to pay tribute to all these enthusiasts, carriers of social ties and citizenship.
