The Woman, the Future of Man…

Latest News

In 1977, the United Nations adopted a resolution inviting all countries to dedicate a day to the celebration of women’s rights.
The Nice municipality wanted to remind people of this by bringing together elected women, presidents of associations, business leaders, and those who have a leading role in the public or private sector.

A beautiful celebration accompanied by simple and direct words, those that reason understands and the heart loves, from Christian Estrosi, who was very comfortable and, for once, far removed from the long and pompous speeches usually given.

The angle of attack as well as the guiding principle of his speech deserve a note of excellence. Now, we must not forget that after March 8 comes March 9 and the days that follow one after the other.

What if we made March 8 a normal day and not a special one? Because this March 8 is indeed a “special” day for the whole world.

Why “special”? Because this celebration of the “other half of the sky” should remind us that in many countries these rights are just a dream of which a significant number of women are not even aware.

That in other countries, these acquired rights exist only on paper but not at all in practice, often confusing equality with egalitarianism or, worse, equivalence…

That even in the most advanced situations, there still isn’t true equality between men and women. Let’s remember that in France, women were only granted the right to vote in 1944 and we had to wait until the 2000s for a real advancement in parity.

We should all be equal in rights, men and women, while remaining different by nature.

If we are social beings, we are above all living beings, and harmonizing this plural situation is the great cultural battle that lies ahead for all of us.
