The Women’s Job Meeting Tour is arriving in Nice this Tuesday, May 16th from 2 PM to 5 PM. This event will make its debut stop at the Bay of Angels. It will be organized by the associations Force Femmes and Companies for the City at the Jorge François Forum (7 rue Cronstadt).
In France, employment for women over 45 years old represents the category with the longest duration of unemployment registration. Several factors explain this, such as maternity, which tends to hinder professional ambitions after one or more significant work breaks. Another obstacle is the difficulty of expanding one’s professional network. In its “OSER” study, Force Femmes highlights that 76% of the women surveyed believe age is a professional barrier.
According to the organizing associations in the Alpes-Maritimes, 15,110 senior women are registered with Pôle Emploi.
To attempt to address this issue, the afternoon will be punctuated by an alternation of collective sessions and individual meetings. The meetings between employees and companies will be reversed. The representatives of the companies present will have 5 minutes to pitch, among other things, about their recruitment offers. An individual exchange space with companies and a networking café will be available to help women seeking employment. Various types of companies will be present, representing several sectors such as industry, transport, real estate, banking, commerce, business services, temporary work, and more.
