The Words Festival: Literature in the Open Air

Last night in Saint Martin-Vรฉsubie, Michel Boujenah, actor, director, and comedian, inaugurated the 2017 edition of the Festival of Words by sharing with the audience excerpts from “The Promise at Dawn” by Romain Gary.

Following this opening evening, until July 30th, big names from French cinema and theater will read texts by writers born on the Cรดte d’Azur or who found the inspiration to bring these great literary works to life there, as part of this festival that has become a classic summer evening event in the Department.

After Michel Boujenah, Elsa Zylberstein, Patrick Poivre d’Arvor, Patrick Chesnais, Stรฉphane Freiss, Brigitte Fossey, Richard Bohringer, and Christophe Malavoy will meet with locals and tourists on village squares, in open-air theaters, or in other historically significant locations across eight communes of the department.

A true “invitation to travel” for all lovers of literature and devoted attendees of the Festival of Words.
