This Friday at 9 PM at the Auguste Escoffier Cultural Center Garden in Villeneuve-Loubet, Isabelle Carré will read stories by Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio (Gallimard).
At 17 years old, Isabelle Carré auditioned for the film “Romuald et Juliette” and was noticed by Coline Serreau, who chose her to play the daughter of Daniel Auteuil. She later gained attention in Christian Vincent’s film “Beau fixe” and received her first nomination for the César Award for Most Promising Actress. She later won the César Award for Best Actress in 2003 for her role in “Se souvenir des belles choses” as well as the Molière Award for Best Actress on two occasions (in 1999 for “Mademoiselle Else” and in 2004 for “L’Hiver sous la table”). Once again, she expanded her acting range by playing a nun in the biopic “Marie Heurtin” by Jean-Pierre Améris. In 2017, she returned to the stage with the play “Honneur à notre élue,” directed by Frédéric Bélier-Garcia, where she performed alongside Patrick Chesnais. Isabelle Carré uses her fame to support numerous associations (La chaîne de l’espoir, Pour le sourire d’un enfant) and has sponsored the association Un enfant par la main since 1991. She published her first novel in 2018, “Les Rêveurs,” which won the Grand prix RTL/Lire 2018.
