The exhibition* of the laureates of the Young Creators Award Ville de Nice/Venet Foundation has been an unmissable artistic rendezvous for the young creators trained at the ENSA of Villa Arson for the past 6 years.

It invites the public to discover the worlds, the research, and the works of the two awarded artists at the end of their cursus.

Anna Tomaszewski and Simon Nicolas, laureates in 2014, will engage their work with the public’s gaze in an exhibition conceived and produced during their residency year. The encounter between the two artists revolves around sculpture and the question of space-time, the MA.

While Simon Nicolasโ€™ work is centered on sound, Anna’s research is oriented towards more organic materials, both playing with the gallery space to present new perceptions that disrupt reality.

Simon Nicolas will show a single sound piece that crosses the gallery in its entirety with a tensioned cable. Anna Tomaszewski will reveal the spatiality of the place by abstracting it, with both artists sharing a common desire to create new environments.

In this exhibition, the two artists come together, with different practices, in their shared desire to signify emptiness to give strength to the forms they create and generate new territories.
