Denis Tillinac was born in Paris in 1947. He graduated from the Institute of Political Studies in Bordeaux. A writer, journalist, and columnist, he has contributed to various newspapers including La Dépêche du Midi, La Montagne, Valeurs actuelles, Le Figaro Magazine, and Madame Figaro.
He has appeared on R.T.L, Canal +, or LCP and has written numerous television dramas for France 3 (Le Bois du Pardoux, Une colonne à la cinq, Les caprices de Marion, etc.)
Denis Tillinac was also the chairman and CEO of La Table Ronde publishing house (1992-2007), and personal representative of the President of the French Republic at the Permanent Council of Francophonie (1995-1998).
He is the author of about thirty books (novels, stories, essays). The most representative work of his oeuvre is undoubtedly Maisons de famille, published in 1987, which was awarded the Kleber-Haedens prize.
Denis Tillinac is part of what is known as the École de Brive, a literary fraternity that includes Jacques Peuchmaurd, Claude Michelet, Michel Peyramaure, and Christian Signol, among lovers of the land.
