For three years, the youth of ADMD (Association for the Right to Die with Dignity) have been organizing a national tour to inform the French public. The goal is to address questions regarding end-of-life rights.
It is the first time the bus is stopping in Nice. Located at Place Garibaldi, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., the bus welcomes visitors without any taboos. The public has access to an exhibition, workshop conferences, a library, and information stands about their rights. All of this with sunshine and a cheerful atmosphere.
This year, Line Renaud and Olivier Minne are the godmother and godfather of the ADMD Tour 2017. The tour started in Paris on June 30 and will end on July 29 in Metz. In total, the bus has 24 stops to discuss end-of-life matters and provide information on advance directives.
Approximately 96% of the French population demand the right to euthanasia or active assistance in dying. For the past 15 years, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg have legalized this right, without making it an obligation.
