The “Flames of Hope” are a symbol of remembrance and eternal gratitude towards the Soldiers who Died for France between 1914-1918 and maintain the memory of the 10 million deaths from the conflict.
This Tuesday, November 10th, between 2 PM and 5 PM, a tribute is organized by the Souvenir Français to pass on this memory to the young, by placing a candle at the foot of the War Memorial of Rauba Capeù.
Each year, students participate in this moving moment and place their candles. More than 300 schoolchildren, middle school, and high school students, accompanied by their teachers and school principals, will be present.
An educational effort has been made beforehand to explain to them the symbolism of the gesture they will perform and the context in which it takes place.
