The “Jeunes Talents Caisse d’Epargne” competition was created to offer developing artists (bands or solo artists) in mainland France the opportunity to perform live under professional conditions, benefit from significant media exposure, receive financial support, and more broadly, help in advancing their careers.
The selection via Scรจnes en Rรฉgions has begun
The Caisse d’Epargne, in collaboration with FNAC, has developed a program called Scรจnes en Rรฉgions, aimed at venues for current music: rock, pop, electronic, hip-hop, and so on.
More than 50 venues across the territories of each of the seventeen regional Caisse dโEpargne have agreed to participate in this program. Scรจnes en Rรฉgions aims to provide greater visibility to regional venues and the artists they produce throughout the year. Financial support is provided to each of these venues by Caisse d’Epargne, largely dedicated to the promotion of concerts.
Scรจnes en Rรฉgions is at the heart of the Jeunes Talents Caisse d’Epargne initiative. Each venue has been asked to choose one or two developing bands in their region. Their choices have been made, and the 91 selected bands will perform as opening acts in their Scรจnes en Rรฉgions until December 16.
A second selection channel via the website espritmusique.fr: registration begins on October 13!
The list of participants from the Scรจnes en Rรฉgions will be supplemented by selected participants from artists registered on espritmusique.fr.
The principle is simple:
- October 27 to December 1, 2011: the 75 Jeunes Talents with the most votes from internet users will be submitted to a jury.
- On December 14, 2011, the jury, which will include representatives from Dailymotion and Zimbalam, will select 9 bands. These bands will join the Scรจnes en Rรฉgions selection* to participate in the final phase. A total of 100 bands will start at the line.
- From January 3 to February 28, 2012: internet users will vote to determine one Jeunes Talents Caisse d’Epargne winner per region. The regionally elected winners will be rewarded and will receive a check for 1,000 euros.
- In March 2012, a jury, which will include the directors of Scรจnes en Rรฉgions, will select the 3 national winners. Caisse d’Epargne will award each group a check for 5,000 euros and will finance a tour in partner venues throughout France.
Soundplaces: the “around me” of music
Following espritmusique, Caisse d’Epargne is launching Soundplaces, a digital and musical application designed for all music enthusiasts. It allows users to locate on a map all the musical activities around them: concerts, artists, venues, etc.
Soundplaces is also one of the key drivers of the Jeunes Talents and Scรจnes en rรฉgion programs, enabling mobile and internet users to vote for the artist of their choice.
Giving the “music” impulse through 5 major agreements
As a bank for life projects, Caisse d’Epargne is investing in the musical landscape with several approaches: being the bank for all music, for all ages, and for all audiences, while prioritizing two dimensions: “live” music in regions and accessibility to musical events.
Five major agreements structure the sponsorship and patronage actions of Caisse d’Epargne:
- The co-production of thirty-four classical concerts throughout France, adapted to the regions to share and introduce the emotions of classical repertoires with renowned partners.
- A program of privileges for Caisse d’Epargne clients on twenty to thirty concerts by international artists who will be a highlight of 2011-2012.
- The establishment of a partnership with venues for current music, Scรจnes en Rรฉgions.
- The promotion of the young French music scene with the Jeunes Talents program.
- The launch of a true digital ecosystem, espritmusique.fr, to raise awareness of Caisse dโEpargneโs musical initiatives, including an online ticketing tool.
This ambitious program, built over the long term, aims to address the following goals: making classical music accessible, discovering young talents, and supporting them to go even further.
