In the framework of Cap Santé Grasse, an annual event dedicated to information, awareness, and health prevention for the general public, the Youth Health Bus “Kéfa” was present at Honoré Cresp Square this Friday and will be again on Saturday, October 19, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
The professionals from the “Kéfa” Bus—sociologist, psychologist, and prevention facilitator—will be actively involved throughout these three days, offering prevention workshops to combat addictions.
The interactive workshops focused on raising awareness and preventing addictive behaviors, planned inside the “Kéfa” Bus, are aimed at an adolescent audience consisting of class groups of 12 to 15 students from middle and high schools in the Grasse area.
The professionals will present the activities of the “Kéfa” Bus, which travels throughout the department year-round to engage in dialogue with students about the risks associated with the use of legal or illegal drugs.
It is important to note that the “Kéfa” Bus staff work closely with teachers on a prevention program to make interventions sustainable for students and to raise awareness among parents and families through conferences about risky behaviors.
For the 2012/2013 school year, more than 4,400 middle school students have benefited from these actions.
