– A traveler walks under the starry light, a carbuncle on his head. Is it a snail? A slug? A spiral? He arrives at a shelter where he decides to build his nest. His stomach growls and demands. He devours. He deforms, he grows, he transforms until he becomes an extraordinary being. The docking is addressed to babies who walk from star to star, to small and big children who run on the grass, and to their parents to whom they give wings.

– A show aimed at the very youngโฆ
This desire was born out of my very recent experience
of being a mother. What moment is more powerful than the arrival
of this child, so complete but already in perpetual
evolution? What astonishment to see with
what ease he adapts, develops his physical
and cognitive abilities, unfolds his modes of
communication, tends towards autonomy by opening
up to the world.
From there arose questions: What does he feel?
How does he experience the extraordinary journey
of being human? Through a
show, how do you speak to such a small child,
how does he perceive images, music, words
and intentions.
The traveler, character of โThe Dockingโ playfully transitions
from one state to another, whether vocal,
physical, relational, symbolic. His language
gradually emerges, his contours become firmer, his whole
facets merge until they are born.
Born to the world, born to himself.
โThe Dockingโ is the first part of a trilogy on the theme of identity.
The second part, โDโhuile et dโaileโ, created in August 2009, is a three-voice ambulatory reading that deals with parenthood. It mixes contemporary authors and testimonies.
The third part, entitled โLโeau ร la boucheโ, is a solo performance planned for 2012, which will reflect everyone’s feelings about their identity. What is identity?
What does it correspond to? What defines us?
