“La Quinzaine des Théâtres in Nice” is an event highlighting, over two weeks, the diversity and richness of the theater scene in Nice and the dynamism of its venues.
“Based on a diagnosis, we understood that theaters suffer from a lack of visibility,” comments Jean-Luc Gag, delegate for theater and himself the driving force behind the municipal theater named after his father.
The second edition of this Curtain Raiser will run until October 23. It will shine a spotlight on the programming of 21 venues in Nice and offer a discovery of places, troupes, and artists: theater in all its forms.
On the bill: 104 performances by professional and amateur companies (including 30 aimed at young audiences) at attractive “special quinzaine” rates, workshops, conferences, tours, exhibitions.
About 22 venues are participating in the event: Théâtre de l’Alphabet, Théâtre Athéna, Théâtre Bellecour, Blackbox (AnimaNice Bon-Voyage), Centre Culturel de la Providence, Relais international de la Jeunesse, Théâtre de l’Eau Vive, Espace Magnan, Théâtre Francis-Gag, P’tit Théâtre de l’Inattendu, Théâtre de l’Impasse, Théâtre l’Impertinent, Théâtre de la Cité, Théâtre de la Semeuse, Théâtre de la Tour (AnimaNice Gorbella), Théâtre de la Traverse, Théâtre du Cours, Théâtre des Oiseaux, Théâtre les Loges, The Stage, Théâtre National de Nice (TNN), Lino-Ventura.
