The news broke on the evening of June 18, Théo Pourchaire no longer drives in IndyCar. Arrow McLaren has signed Nolan Siegel for the rest of the season.
Despite a contract running until the end of the season with Arrow McLaren since May 9, Théo Pourchaire finds himself without a seat. This shocking revelation appeared on the evening of June 18. The orange team announced it in a post on social media.
An Unexpected Change
Everything suggests that the decision was made at the last minute. Théo Pourchaire was already in Monterey, California, as he posted a photo of himself on Instagram while training. One of his tweets on the social network X, since deleted, shows that he was absolutely unaware of the decision.

Tony Kanaan, advisor at Arrow McLaren, states: “Théo did nothing wrong […] He was not happy with the decision but he understood.” Théo Pourchaire thus becomes the third driver change for the number 6 car. He currently finds himself with nothing after having given up Super Formula (a championship in Japan, editor’s note) in favor of IndyCar. But he assured on social media on June 21, 2024, that he will return.
