Latest News

This weekend, the city of Carros is organizing the third edition of the festival of music and sacred chants.

With the approach of the end-of-year festivities, established singers and musicians, young talents from the international scene, and regional ensembles will perform, filling the churches and chapels of the town, as well as the monastery of Carmel, with their music and voices.

The opening concert scheduled for Friday, December 14th at 8:30 PM will be a piano recital by the talented François Dumont at the Saint-Paul Church.

The next day, the Irini ensemble will take us on a journey through their world of Marian worship chants in the Mediterranean (3:00 PM at the Carmel), followed by Amy Blake, Jérôme Sieurin, and the ensemble Musiques en jeux presenting the concert “Holy Jazz!” (5:30 PM at the Saint-Claude Church).

The day will close with an exceptional recital by Gary Hoffman and Marie Josèphe Jude, who will transport us to the rhythm of their cello and piano at the Saint-Paul Church at 8:30 PM.

For the last day of this festival, the Plans Chapel will host at 2:30 PM the ensemble Lympia and mezzo-soprano Cristina Greco, and the final concert will be held at the Saint-Paul Church at 5:00 PM by the ensemble Corou de Berra, who will give us chills with their sacred music from the Southern Alps.
