Support for employment and economic development are priority objectives of the first 2012 budget of the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis, which was voted on last February 10th. With the planning of 1,000 development projects and 630 million euros injected into the economy, the Metropolis aims to support, directly or indirectly, more than 20,000 jobs. On the occasion of the inauguration of this 7th Employment Forum, the new Employment Portal of the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis will be officially launched.
Among the direct actions implemented by the Metropolis is the organization for the 7th year of the Employment Forum, now recognized as one of the most important departmental events dedicated to recruitment.
This 7th edition will take place on Thursday, February 16th, at the Nice Exhibition Palace, from 9 AM to 6 PM, on 4,000mยฒ. It is organized by the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis integration-employment service, in partnership with the Alpes Maritimes General Council, the public employment service (composed of Pรดle Emploi, the DIRECCTE, and the Adult Vocational Training Association – A.F.P.A.), and business representatives (UPE 06, consular chambers, etc.).
More than 2,000 job offers available
In 2011, the Forum hosted more than 12,000 visitors and registered 2,000 job offers proposed by 150 companies spread over more than 90 stands. More than 14,500 interviews were conducted on-site, and 200 employment contracts were concluded as a result of the forum.
Despite a particularly tense economic context and a rise in unemployment in 2011, this 2012 employment forum promises to be a note of optimism: the number of companies and job offers proposed this year exceed those recorded in 2011!
Thematic villages, workshops, and round tables, and a space dedicated to business creation

Within 10 thematic villages, visitors will be able to learn about the following themes:
construction/public works, banking/insurance, trade/distribution, defense/security, hospitality/catering, industry/environment/transport, temporary work, personal services, business services, professionalization space.

Round tables and workshops are also organized to provide information on in-demand jobs or on integration, training, and employment support mechanisms.

On the stands, personalized advice on writing a resume or a cover letter, information on the rights and duties of job seekers (stand 206).

An Handi Job / Cap emploi 06 space will be open at stand 202 to support people with disabilities in their job search efforts.

A space dedicated to the creation and takeover of businesses will be set up at stand 57โฆ
