3×3 Basketball is an official, recognized, and alternative practice, soon to be Olympic and an alternative to the traditional five-player basketball. Less known, faster, more intense, and more spectacular, two teams of three players compete on a half-court.
This sport remains little known to the general public but aims to develop and gain notoriety in the coming years. The Cavigal Nice Basket 06, a leading club in Nice with its professional women’s basketball team, has been committed to the development of this practice for four years.
Since 2011, CNB 06 has been organizing with the authorization of FIBA (International Basketball Federation).
From May 16 to June 27, nine tournaments are organized to allow local and national teams to qualify for the final tournament on June 28, in Nice.
The winner of this tournament will qualify for the French Open, bringing together the fourteen victorious teams from a final tournament.
