-The students: Lisa MELINE (Master’s in Environmental Management and Sustainable Development), Pierre BARONE (Master’s in Economics and Management of Organizations and Knowledge), and Thomas Côte (Master’s in Economic and Business Law).
-The competition, organized for several years by Sciences Po Lille, aims to select an innovative project on the theme of Europe. It seeks to enhance the feeling of belonging to the European Union and the image of Europe in the daily life of its citizens.
-For the 2011 edition, the competition jury will be chaired by President Valéry Giscard d’Estaing.
The students will gather in Lille to defend their project against other finalists: the University of Padua in Italy, the Sorbonne University, and Sciences Po Lille.
At stake is a funding of 3500 euros to reward the winners.
-About the project titled: Your Hope, You’re Up, Europe.
The project involves organizing a tour in several countries of the European Union, with a gathering at a major university in each country.
This tour has a triple objective:
•To unveil the student life in other EU countries
•To make a change in the daily lives of students
•To strengthen the feeling of belonging to the European Union
