Netflix recently released a documentary that traces the life of “The Tinder Swindler” Simon Hayut. The Israeli posed as a billionaire to lure his victims. He managed to make several victims who are now extremely indebted.
The victims’ debt is estimated at 710,000 euros. Simon Hayut, under the alias Tinder Simon Leviev, lacked no imagination. His modus operandi: seducing women on Tinder by pretending to be a wealthy manโa big boss, heir to a diamond empire, and even a [Mossad agent](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mossad) or online pilot, and promising them a “princess” life by his side. Then, once his victims were enchanted, he claimed to be threatened and said he had to hide to escape his enemies.
Thanks to his deceptions, the swindler managed to steal millions of dollars from women he met on Tinder. They took out loans to help him. The victims later filed complaints, and an investigation was opened. Simon Hayut was arrested while traveling but was not convicted by the judiciary for his Tinder scams.
The three women met and recently launched an online fundraiser to pay off their debts, amounting to several tens of thousands of dollars. They have set out to pursue Simon Hayut, the serial dater.
